1. Everett had his first hair cut! It was an interesting experience. He is very easy going generally, and I didn't even think he would notice or care that his hair was being cut. I was wrong. He did not like it!
2. We were able to hang out with our friend Franz a lot in June, before he left us to move to New Zealand. We miss him!
3. We went to our friend Amy's wedding at the end of June. It was a beautiful wedding and I always love seeing people get married that are absolutely perfect for each other. I cry every time! I don't know why I am a wedding crier...I feel like it's this mutant part of my personality that doesn't quite fit with the rest. Haha!
4. We were able to see so many college friends that we hadn't seen for years at Amy's wedding. It was a mini reunion and it was so, so fun! I especially loved getting to see my Ash!
5. Spending time with friends and family is always my favorite part of going to California!
6. Everett turned 1 on July 5! He had a lot of fun at his birthday parties, and he is a big fan of cake.
7. Everett took his first steps the day before his birthday! It is now a month later and he is walking all over the place. He is very proud of himself too. I have a video I will put up later this week.
8. On July 6 I started preschool with Kate. We turned our loft into her school room, and everyday we do about 30 minutes to an hour. Some days it is hard to fit in with her swimming lessons and play group, but I always try to at least do math, phonics, and storytime. She is doing really well and we are having a lot of fun!
9. About a month ago Brian's good friend, Matt, was in town for Volleyball Festival. I love this picture, because it is not too often that Brian looks short. Ha! Now he knows how the rest of us feel. ;)

You guys have been busy!! It was great to see you when you were out. And I totally know what you mean about the wedding crying being a mutant part of your personality. :D Because generally you're such a sappy, weepy gal. Haha!
